Confirming Consensus Nominees Quickly

Steven Klepper published a commentary, “Confirming Consensus Nominees Quickly,” in the September 2012 issue of The Federal Lawyer. Steven proposes that the U.S. Senate should adopt a rule that, when the Judiciary Committee reports a judicial nominee without opposition, the Senate shall conduct a voice vote on the nomination within 48 hours.
